![]() ![]() But this is just another one of those "here we go again" endings which in truth I'm sick of. And "A Bunch Of Baby Ducks" and even "Weekend At Benson's" had at least funny endings even if you sort of saw them coming. ![]() "Camping Can Be Cool" and "Skips Vs Technology" had very solid good endings. And it's not like that's impossible for the show. And actually this is something I've commented on about Regular Show: the good episodes of this series are the ones that start well with comedy, have good action in the middle and then have THIS kind of ending, while the great episodes have comedy beginning, action middle and either a funny or satisfying ending. Okay I'm going to be the one who has to say it: that ending was lame. That plus the opening with Mordeci and Rigby making fun and liking that cop show where the guy just flipped everything he drove in every ep made this a good one but. ![]() And I also really liked how there was this build to the challenge being how you ate the eggs and it being a choice in which hat you should pick as well. That and Benson apologizing and even Mordeci sort of apologizing are good character moments that do show a good sense of group dynamics that these guys have that even if they have problems with each other there's a reason they can all live together. I liked how Rigby lost instantly because he was allergic to eggs (which was a good fakeout instead of it just being his desire and eyes being bigger then his stomach) as well as Mordeci flipping out on Benson for saying Rigby should just been working when he was on a hospital bed and wanting to get the hat for his friend. There's a time and place for everything.Sorry I just saw this episode today and wanted to comment on it so forgive me for being late on talking about this one but I want to say something anyway. * JerkassHasAPoint: Benson wasn't entirely wrong when chastising Mordecai for getting himself and Rigby into the mess they're in right now, ''but'' it ''wasn't the best time to say such a thing and that's where he went wrong - ''very'' wrong. When the workers try to stop Mordecai from completing the challenge it's because of a problem none of the park crew are aware of that will be life or death for Mordecai. The manager is understanding and sympathetic, only refusing to sell Mordecai the hat outright because store policy prevents him from doing so. Here the restaurant workers are actually reasonable and as helpful as they can be under the circumstance, really only roadblocked by the store's policies. Most episodes have the crew dealing with someone that is either just a looking for trouble or someone functioning on a ] that they unknowingly cross. He also goes the extra mile and says Benson's lousy behavior is why he has no friends, with the park crew only spending any time with him because he signs their paychecks. Mordecai loses it and attacks Benson, telling the grouch that not everything is about their job and, despite what he was doing before was impulsive and stupid, Rigby doesn't deserve being stuck in a coma. Here Benson decides to harp on them about poor work ethic and essentially blame Rigby for nearly getting himself killed. Most of the time, the guy just yells at Mordecai and Rigby for screwing up with no real bad blood between either party. > ''(Mordecai leaves the room as everyone stands there, speechless)'' That's what friends ''do'' for each other. > '''Benson:''' Why? -> '''Mordecai:''' Because I made a promise to Rigby and I'm going to keep it. > '''Benson:''' Where you going? -> '''Mordecai:''' (bitterly) Back to the resturant. > '''Mordecai:''' ] Rigby only wanted to try and win a hat, he doesn't deserve to be in a coma because of it. ![]() He just wanted the hat! -> '''Benson:''' And look where it got him! Your friend over there is only going to get you into trouble. >'']'' -> '''Benson:''' Mordecai, what are you doing?! -> '''Mordecai:''' What's your problem?! This has nothing to do with work. >'''Mordecai:''' What? ->'''Benson:''' Maybe if you were working like you were supposed to, none of this would have happened. >'''Benson:''' Well, I hope you've learned something from all of this. ![]()
