They require supplemental feeding of small leafy foods like planktons and brine shrimp, in addition to its diet of macro algae tissue. Ricordea florida mushroom coral are photosynthetic and carnivorous. ![]() It is considered semi-aggressive and requires adequate space between itself and other corals. It prefers a low water movement within the aquarium, and it may not be as hardy as some of the other mushroom corals. It requires a medium to high light level, but metal halide lighting may be too bright. No matter the species, it is always a good idea to give all the corals in your tank plenty of space to thrive and grow. Still be weary and make sure that you provide sufficient space for both the established colony and the newly introduced Ricordea Florida Coral to thrive. It is not aggressive and would make good tank mates to most established coral colonies. The surface of their cap looks like it is made up of small little balls giving them a very interesting structure. ![]() Orange Florida Ricordea is predominantly colored violet with orange tentacles and green mouth. Although they are slower growing than other genus of mushrooms, they’re quick to make up for it with amazing coloration.
